Mum was a passionate gardener, also a proud ANZAC, but she’s in her 99th year, in a nursing home where, last week, she was diagnosed with Covid and had to spend 7 days isolated in her room. She was heartbroken so I sent her flowers. Poppies mean so much to Mum because she marched every year in Griffith’s Anzac Parade, wearing a poppy, until she was no longer able… in 2024. She was thrilled with the “most beautiful poppies I have ever seen”. Cheered her up..
